Mekong River is still my favorite Vietnamese joint in the states (and I literally travel across the globe)! I fall in love every time I try a new dish, and I'm the type that doesn't ever order a new entree once I figure out what I like. This place is amazing! The stock on every soup is the best I've had. The veggies on the Bun bowls are always fresh, service amazing, and they even interact with my kids, and make sure they're all set as well! Love, love this place!

Nice clean restaurant, good food!
We eat at a lot of small mom and pop owned restaurants and what usually stands out at many is the cleanliness (or lack of) of the restaurant. It was quite noticeable that the owners here keep things clean and orderly.
I am no Vietnamese food expert. What I try to do is order the same meal at every restaurant, so I can compare what I have eaten and like.
For me it is Bun Bo Hue, for my wife it is the vermicelli eggroll salad with chicken. And the appetizer of choice is the spring roll.
The spring rolls were large and average in taste. The chicken on the vermicelli was excellent. It had a little char on the chicken meat which really made the meal. The fish sauce dressing was not over powering with fish flavor. The broth of the Bun Bo Hue was a little bland for my liking. It was lacking both in beef flavor and spice (heat and lemon grass flavor). It took a hearty dosing of Sriracha sauce and soy sauce to bring it to life. They don't serve fresh Jalapenos with the side vegetables, but they will provide them on request. The good things about the Bun Bo Hue was that it was not sweet, It was not overpowered by the flavor of fish sauce and there was a generous portion of thin cut lean tender beef. -

This is one of my favorite spots for Pho in Tulsa. The service is exceptional. The dishes always come out prepared perfectly by real life Vietnam born cook. The family that runs this establishment are so nice and accommodating. The fresh chicken and shrimp rolls are my favorite and the peanut sauce that they come with is made in house. The menu has something for everyone.. including several vegetarian options. i usually get the #5 Pho... you won't be disappointed! #eatthelocals

Really enjoyed our experience here. The bun salad bowl had a great sweet fish sauce accompaniment. The meat and spring rolls were sweet and flavorful. The wait staff was good, but not super friendly. Biggest reason for not giving 5 stars is that it seems like flavors are dumbed down a bit. Really missed cilantro and mint in my bun salad and in the fresh spring rolls. Seems like they are trying to cater a bit more to the larger American audience.

wow! flavors are 80% there and seemed like a decent asian turnout in the restaurant. i basically drove an hour to come get some decent asian food and i'm glad this place delivered.
I got the bun bo hue; noodles are chewier than i'm used to but the broth had enough lemon grass (just wish there was more fish sauce). what was great about the bbh was that all the cuts of meat (i ordered american/regular style; no blood, no pig feet) were really good slices, like filet mignon cuts. Good decent bowl size that really filled me up.
pho broth tasted not bad either.
they serve you a free basket of shrimp chips at the beginning.
I ordered calamari, but it never came out. actually pretty happy it didn't come out because i was so stuffed.
